Animation Lab set up at DU

dhaka-universityZunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for ICT Division, inaugurated the laboratory at Computer Science Department of the university in presence of its Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique.
The new laboratory is aimed at creating and developing businesses through innovation in the country.
The lab set-up started on February 25 this year financed by the ICT Division.
The government spent Tk1.33 crore on the project that will play a vital role in creating skilled manpower in content sector.
The project has been taken up to create educated and skilled manpower in ICT sector of the country.
The government has also established Software Testing and Quality Assurance Lab at Jahangirnagar University, Big Data Analytics Lab at Shahjalal Science and Technology University and Robotics Lab at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
The labs which are likely to be set up at different universities are Advance Computing Lab at Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Robotics Lab at Chittagong University of Science and Technology, Audio Visual Lab at Dhaka University Television and Film Studies Department, Artificial Intelligence and Control Lab at Rajshahi University of Science and Technology and State of Art IoT (Internet of Things) at the University of Liberal Arts.
In his address, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said Bangladeshi youths are very meritorious.
“To asses the competence of our youth, we need a perfect platform. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and direct supervision of ICT affairs advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy we are moving ahead to establish such a platform,” said Palak.
“We have established the animation lab at DU so that the country can take the lead in animation industry.”
